Silver Bell Scholarship 

The Silver Bell Scholarship was created to assist students who have beaten the odds. Young people who despite challenging circumstances ( i.e. illness, extreme poverty, disability, foster care, etc.) have enrolled in college and are pursuing their education. We want to assist with a $1000 scholarship. The Silver Bell Scholarship was established in honor of the founder’s mother Lillie Bell Marshall who passed on March 12, 2014. Applications will be accepted March 12th - June 1st. The winner will be announced Monday, July 2nd 2018.

Applicant Eligibility:

  1. Must be at least a second semester sophomore and enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution of higher learning located within the United States. (Undergraduate Only)

  2. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA. An official transcript must be provided as proof.

  3. Must complete this application. 

  4. Must be able to demonstrate the need for assistance

  5. Must compose an essay of at least 2,500 words explaining how you beat the odds and what you hope to achieve by gaining a college education. Please give detailed information about your challenge and how you overcame the odds in order to begin college.

  6. Must provide a professional photo. This will only be used if you are selected. 

 

After you have completed each step, submit everything electronically to lilliesdaughter46@gmail.com. Partially completed applications will not be reviewed. Please note that the funds will be sent directly to your institution of higher learning to be applied to your tuition. Submit all questions to lilliesdaughter46@gmail.com.
